The expression level of CD44 and VDR was significantly higher in ovarian cancers with FIGO stages III and IV than in FIGO stages I and II (p < 0.001 and p < 0.001, respectively), while the expression level of CD133 showed no difference between lower (I and II) and higher (III and IV) FIGO stages (p = 0.267) (Figure 2B). The gene discussed is PROM1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
