During the first trimester, hs‐CRP compared to those of normal‐weight individuals (mean 3.4 mg/L; 95% CI 3.1 to 3.7) showed a 1.7‐fold increase in overweight (mean 5.9 mg/L; 95% CI 5.0 to 6.7; p < 0.0001) and a 2.7‐fold increase in obesity (mean 9.3 mg/L; 95% CI 7.6 to 11.0; p < 0.0001). Here, MAP3K14 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
