Therefore, this study addresses from the baseline assessment of LEAP-C (i) the prevalence of anthropometric indicators-general obesity and central obesity among children and adolescents, (ii) cardio-metabolic traits - childhood hypertension, lipid abnormalities (dyslipidemia), elevated fasting plasma glucose and fasting insulin, metabolic syndrome (MetS) and metabolically obese normal weight (MONW) phenotype among adolescents between public and private school going urban students in post-COVID era in India. Here, INS is linked to metabolic syndrome.
