The 3-month DAS28 remission rates of 35% observed in our study are higher than those observed in the methotrexate-treated arms of contemporary RCTs that enrolled methotrexate-naïve participants with RA (e.g. 24% DAS28-CRP remission attainment at 24 weeks in RA Begin [17]; 18.5% DAS28-CRP remission at 24 weeks in ORAL Start [18] and 7.6% DAS28-ESR remission at 6 months in SELECT Early [19]). This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
