Although IL‐10 antagonism is not an issue for skeletal immunobiology, it may be very important for intestinal immunobiology because humans with loss‐of‐function mutations in IL‐10 or the IL‐10R are prone to early onset IBD,22 and IL‐10 single‐nucleotide polymorphisms are also linked to IBD.42 This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and inflammatory bowel disease.
