FCGR2B and preeclampsia: By binding IgG2, FcγRIIA may mitigate diastolic hypertension through its role in vascular inflammation, resembling the mechanism of the related Fcγ Receptor FcγRIIB.46–48 In fact, genetic variation in FcγRIIB is significantly associated with preeclampsia.49 This association may be linked to the mitigation of vascular inflammation.
