The causal association between GHD and neonatal hypoglycemia can be easily demonstrated by measuring the GH levels during a hypoglycemic episode [6,7,8]; however, in clinical practice, this is rarely performed in the absence of a strong clinical suspicion of hypopituitarism, as the other causes of neonatal hypoglycemia are more common. Here, GH1 is linked to hypopituitarism.
