HLA-G and interstitial nephritis: These results can provide suggestions as following: 1) a greater degree of inflammation by tubulointerstitial nephritis leads to both higher urinary protein excretion and lower renal function; and 2) a decrease in albumin reabsorption, as well as small molecular proteins, such as α1-microglobulin and β2-microglobulin, in the renal tubules due to tubulointerstitial nephritis results in a lower serum albumin level.
