Notably, studies have consistently shown that colony‐stimulating factor‐1 (CSF‐1) is a key factor in regulating normal growth and brain development [10, 11, 12]; however, under pathological conditions, astrocytes regulate the production of CSF‐1, which contributes to the progression of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis [13].
