In the COVID-19+ group, as expected, significantly increased levels of proinflammatory cytokines/chemokines including INF-α2, INF-γ, MCP-1, IL-6, IL-12p70, IL-17A, IL-18, IL-23 and IL-33 were detected (Figures 3B, C, E, F, I–M), while the level of IL-10, an anti-inflammatory cytokine was also elevated as compared to controls (Figure 3H).
