CRH and post-traumatic stress disorder: In DLPFC, we noted downregulation of pathways related to synaptic signaling (P = 4.90 × 10−9) and endocannabinoids (P = 8.51 × 10−4) indicating DEP enrichment in neuronal cell types, as well as upregulation of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) signaling consistent with glucocorticoid dysfunction in PTSD [12] (Fig. 1D).
