More specifically, the risk factors most closely linked to long COVID include being female [15,16,17,18], experiencing many initial symptoms of COVID-19, having increased levels of D-dimer and C-reactive protein (CRP), having prior psychiatric disorders, engaging in military and transport jobs, smoking, reporting poor self-perceived health status, having chronic diseases or using medication, having early dyspnea, and experiencing critical severity of COVID-19 [19,20]. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is psychiatric disorder.
