The upregulation of HJURP has been observed in various cancers, in which it regulates tumor progression and chemoresistance through multiple mechanisms, including the YAP1/NDRG1 transcriptional axis in triple-negative breast cancer [34], modulation of the MDM2/p53 pathway in pancreatic cancer [35], and promotion of CDKN1A degradation via the GSK3β/JNK pathway in prostate cancer cells [36].
