Among inflammatory markers, CRP (16.2 [5.6–44.0] vs. 1.6 [1.2–4.2] mg/L, p < 0.001), ESR (26.0 [18.0–42.0] vs. 15.0 [10.0–25.0] mm/h, p < 0.001), and fibrinogen (419.0 [350.0–509.0] vs. 329.0 [286.0–398.0] mg/dL, p = 0.003) were all significantly elevated in the cancer group. Here, CRP is linked to cancer.
