Hemoglobin levels were significantly lower in the cancer group (10.5 [9.2–12.2] vs. 13.9 [13.2–14.9] g/dL, p < 0.001), as were total serum proteins (6.1 [5.4–6.7] vs. 6.9 [6.6–7.4] g/dL, p < 0.001) and albumin (3.4 [2.9–3.9] vs. 4.2 [3.8–4.5] g/dL, p < 0.001). Here, ALB is linked to cancer.
