TNF and Hyperglycemia: A double-blind, randomized clinical trial (n = 30) showed that daily administration of 200 mg of Eriomin, containing 70% eriocitrin, 5% hesperidin, 4% naringin, 1% didymin, and 20% fiber material, for 12 weeks reduced blood glucose (−5%) by increasing glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) secretion (17%) and alleviated inflammation by decreasing IL-6 (−14%) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) (−20%) in subjects with hyperglycemia (110–150 mg/dL) [107].
