Increased LAG3 expression in tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) has been reported in hepatocellular carcinoma, and blockade of the binding of LAG3 to its ligand, MHC-II, leads to an increase in the number of TILs and enhances their ability to secrete cytokines, thus promoting anti-tumor immunity (10). This evidence concerns the gene LAG3 and neoplasm.
