Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody against vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A), which inhibits the binding of VEGF-A to its receptors, causing regression of angiogenesis that supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tumor (Jain, 2014) and induce tumor dormancy (Indraccolo, 2013). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and neoplasm.
