Increased mRNA levels of Th1 T-cell markers CCR5 and CXCR3, as well as their chemokine ligands, are found in CCC heart tissue; mRNA levels of Th1 T cell–chemoattracting chemokine CXCL9 in CCC hearts were positively correlated with the intensity of myocarditis [29]. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL9 and myocarditis.
