To further analyze the network’s structure, the degree centrality of the nodes was calculated, identifying the top ten thyroid cancer driver proteins with the highest degree of connectivity: HRAS (12), KRAS (10), TP53 (9), PPP2R1A (9), NRAS (8), HSP90AA1 (7), PAK2 (6), AKT1 (5), BRAF (5), and PTEN (4). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is thyroid cancer.
