IL6 and colorectal cancer: F. varium, a bacterial species implicated in various human diseases and conditions, has been observed in higher abundance in colorectal cancer tissue relative to adjacent normal tissue, hinting at a potential role in cancer development.54 Our study also uncovered a positive correlation between F. varium and the levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in patients with cerebral autosomal-dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL).
