POMC and neoplasm: To reduce the time to diagnosis of adrenal CS, it is important to avoid overlooking moon face and central obesity with dorsocervical and/or subclavian fat pad, assess morning ACTH and serum cortisol after a DST with higher cutoff values than those recommended by the Endocrine Society, use abdominal computed tomography, and consider tumor size and patient sex when evaluating patients with suspected CS.
