BCR and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: Dasatinib is a potent and selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) primarily utilized to treat some cancers, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).57 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave its approval in 2006,58 Dasatinib was designed to suppress the BCR-ABL fusion protein's activity, which is a characteristic of leukemias with the Philadelphia chromosome.59
