In this study, we found that SLC27A5 regulates the APA of the METTL14-3'UTR by interacting with PABPC1, leading to the generation of short 3'UTR isoforms of METTL14, which evades miRNA-mediated inhibition and consequently enhances METTL14 abundance, ultimately inhibiting HCC stemness (Fig. 7). This evidence concerns the gene SLC27A5 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
