According to western blot and immunofluorescence analyses, SM-3-treated human lung cancer cells (A549, H292, and H460) showed decreased levels of stem cell markers (CD44, CD133, ALDH1 A1) and stem cell transcription factors (NANOG, OCT4, SOX2) (Fig. 9H, S3H, S4H and 9I, S3I, S4I). This evidence concerns the gene PROM1 and lung carcinoma.
