In cancer and non-cancer cell lines, LF of various origins in different forms not only reduced ROS production [143,144,145,146] and significantly increased ferric reducing antioxidant capacity (FRAP) [147], but they also decreased the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione-S-transferase (GsT), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) [145,148]. This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and cancer.
