In a recent randomized, double-blind study including 52 patients with metabolic steatohepatitis (MASH) after phospholipid CUR administration at a dosage of 2 g/day for 72 weeks, 62% of patients had MASH resolution, 50% had fibrosis improvement by ≥1 stage, and 42% had ≥2 stage fibrosis improvement, possibly through NF-kB inhibition [41]. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
