According to recent heart failure guidelines (both European and American), the recommended treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) should be based on the four pillars: beta-blockers (BB), mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA), angiotensin receptor blockers–neprilysin inhibitors (ARNI) and sodium–glucose cotransporter type 2 inhibitors SGLT2i [2,3].
