CRP and major depressive disorder: In the study, the patients with current MDD who fail to achieve remission with an ongoing antidepressant at an adequate dose or relapse while on an antidepressant are stratified based on the level of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs–CRP), <3 mg/L or >3 mg/L, and randomly assigned to minocycline, celecoxib, or placebo for 12 weeks.
