Studies on preclinical animal models of endometritis induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and treated with PRP have indicated that PRP reduces the inflammatory response by lowering levels of myeloperoxidase (MPO), nitric oxide (NO), and proinflammatory chemokines such as tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-8 (IL-8) [74,75].
