Additionally, KEGG enrichment analysis of the DEGs identified six pathways that were significantly enriched (p < 0.05) (Supplementary Table S3), including neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction, alcoholic liver disease, complement and coagulation cascades, the cytosolic DNA-sensing pathway, lipid and atherosclerosis, and the AMPK signaling pathway, as depicted in Figure 2B. This evidence concerns the gene PRKAA2 and atherosclerosis.
