Hypothalamic (including orexin immunoreactive neurons), thalamic, and brainstem regions involved in arousal, sleep, narcolepsy/cataplexy, reward processing, addictive and feeding behaviors, and autonomic and motor responses were explored in MMC children and young adults with AD, PD, FTLD, and ALS neuropathology hallmarks.
