Aberrant and altered changes in HNF4α have been associated with the development of several cancer types, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), renal cell carcinoma (RCC), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), cholangiocarcinoma, and colorectal adenocarcinoma (CRAC) [5,6,7].
