Interestingly, many of the genes linked to the differentially methylated CpGs have been associated with liver disease progression (eg, DCP2, TRPV3, ARRB1, KCNIP4, MIR10A) and cancer formation or progression (eg, MTHFR, GRIK2, GSN, HOX3, KCNMA1) (Table 2).
