To find out if ETV1 could be involved in this process, we conducted 3D invasion assays using invasive primary neurospheres derived from two different GBM biopsy specimens (GSC02, GSC11) in which ETV1 was knocked down using two specific siRNAs validated for their efficacy to inhibit ETV1 expression (Figure 2A,B). Here, ETV1 is linked to glioblastoma.
