MTA1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: RALY and SF3B3 synergistically regulate metastasis associated 1 (MTA1), regulate the splicing switch of MTA1 from MTA1-S to MTA1-L, leading to a decrease in MTA1-S levels, weakening the inhibitory effect of MTA1-S on cholesterol synthesis related genes and regulating the cholesterol synthesis pathway, thereby enhancing the proliferation of HCC cells [43].
