CD4 and sexually transmitted disease: Initial CD4+ cell count was also linked to STI risk, with individuals having CD4+ cell counts between 200 and 350 cells/μL (aHR = 1.472, p < 0.0001) and > 350 cells/μL (aHR = 1.465, p < 0.0001) at higher risk compared to those with CD4+ < 200 cells/μL for any STI.
