Notably, among the top-ranked CTD-suppressed genes, we found that five genes, including TOP2A, ACSL4, SQLE, CDK4, and SLC6A14 were significantly elevated in HCC clinical specimens, suggesting that NCTD targets to inhibit the expression of these genes to exert anti-tumor effects in HCC (Figure 2E). The gene discussed is SQLE; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
