CD3E and uveitis: Male individuals exhibited different upregulated genes, such as CD180, GAPT, and TLR7; meanwhile, a downregulation of KLHL21, MYLIP, PDE4A, and ZNFX1. A sex-dependent expression of genes was also detected among the systemic disease-associated uveitis patients, with the genes CA1, CCR7, CD3E, and LCK being differentially regulated in male and female patients compared with healthy individuals of the same sex.
