Significant differences were observed between the septic and non-septic groups in terms of age, SOFA score, APACHE II score, mechanical ventilation, SAA, Lac levels, ARDS status, and P/F ratio (P < 0.05, Table 1), while other parameters, including body mass index, gender, smoking history, history of drinking, high blood pressure, diabetes, coronary artery disease, respiratory rate, mean arterial pressure, oxygenation index, body temperature, white blood cell count, CRP, PCT, and COVID-19 status, showed no significant differences (P > 0.05). Here, CRP is linked to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
