IFNG and infection: The bacterial burden in the lungs and spleen was measured, histopathological changes were analyzed using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, and the infection levels of M. tuberculosis, as well as the presence of interleukin-2 (IL-2), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) positive cells, were evaluated through immunohistochemical (IHC) staining.
