In contrast, the control group receiving only standard TB therapy exhibited a modest increase in CD4+ count, from 42.70 ± 5.97 mm3 to 47.15 ± 5.69 mm3 (p < 0.05), with no significant change in the CD4+/CD8+ ratio (1.36 ± 0.25 to 1.41 ± 0.20, p > 0.05) [22].
