As lipidomics experiments showed a reduction of PC and PE following LPIN1 suppression and an anti‐correlation between PC/PE and SM levels, we inhibited key enzymes of the choline pathway, choline kinase alpha (ChoKɑ1), and choline/ethanolamine phosphotransferase 1 (CEPT1), as well as neutral sphingomyelinase (nSMase) in PDX‐AML and healthy CB CD34+ cells using chemicals (outlined in Figure 6A). This evidence concerns the gene LPIN1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
