The levels of retinol, α‐tocopherol, Se, Zn, gallic acid, o‐coumaric acid, hydroxybenzoic acid, vanillic acid, ferulic acid, trans‐cinnamic acid, and resveratrol in L. nuda and T. terreum could potentially be responsible for preventing free radical damage due to their antioxidant properties in relation to XO inhibitory activity for hyperuricemia, gout, as well as against other diseases XO‐related diseases induced by ROS. This evidence concerns the gene XDH and gout.
