Notably, in response to androgen deprivation, PCa cells were characterized by the enhancement of intracellular glucose consumption (Fig. 2D), lactate production (Fig. 2E) and G6PD enzyme activity (Fig. 2F), whereas such induction was abolished when the ROS scavenger N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) was used. This evidence concerns the gene G6PD and posterior cortical atrophy.
