PYGL and posterior cortical atrophy: These data provide compelling evidence that BRD9 protects PCa against the cytotoxic effects of oxidative stress and that BRD9 is required for the advantageous upregulation of PYGL under androgen-deprived conditions, thereby helping to maintain an antioxidant state in the PCa cells; these findings may explain the superior capacity of CRPC-like PCa cells to survive under oxidative stress.
