O6-methylguanineethylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) is an enzyme involved in DNA repair.[30] MGMT regulation is governed by epigenetic mechanisms, and the methylation state of its promoter region is linked to both the development and the prognostic outcomes of glioblastoma.[31] Our survival curve analysis revealed that the higher expression of MGMT in groups with a better prognosis of sepsis led to increased survival rates. This evidence concerns the gene MGMT and glioblastoma.
