CDKN2A and renal cell adenocarcinoma: In 9.5% of RCC samples, the CDKN2A gene is lost along with other genetic materials, and these samples exhibit sarcomatoid features, a highly aggressive form of RCC that may benefit from immunotherapy (Kiatprungvech et al., 2024), which also corroborates with the significant correlation between the CDKN2A gene and immune cell infiltration observed in our study.
