ALB and stroke disorder: Babu et al. (22) conducted a prospective study with 560 patients with ischemic stroke and found that low albumin levels were significantly associated with poor prognosis (OR 1.972, 95% CI 1.103–4.001), defined by the mRS score > 3 at 3 months after stroke, and the stroke recurrence rate was higher in patients with low albumin levels compared with those with high albumin levels.
