A meta‐analysis of five clinical trials (11 123 patients already treated with MRAs) evaluating SGLT2 inhibitors versus placebo showed that the combination of SGLT2 inhibitors and MRAs significantly reduced the risk of hyperkalaemia (HR, 0.61; 95% CI, 0.50 to 0.75; P < 0.00001) compared with MRAs therapy alone.56 This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and Hyperkalemia.
