SLC25A42 and gastric cancer: Given that ferroptosis evasion has been reported as a critical mechanism of the resistance sorafenib [29], a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and chemotherapy [30] in gastric cancer (GC), we postulate that silencing SLC25A42 might sensitize GC cells to ferroptotic death and enhances the anti-cancer activity of sorafenib and chemotherapy in GC, which still need more investigation.
