Once-weekly treatment with the selective glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agoniost, semaglutide, has resulted in a prolonged loss in body weight that has ranged from ≈6.7% over 40 weeks [5], ≈14.9% over 68 weeks [6], and ≈10.2% over 208 weeks [7], further highlighting the need to optimize anti-obesity treatment options that result in more marked weight loss over more sustained treatment intervals. Here, GLP1R is linked to obesity disorder.
